The district in plain terms
West of the Prinsengracht, bounded by the Brouwersgracht at the top and the Leidsegracht at the bottom. The Westerkerk tower is the landmark you navigate by, with the Anne Frank House at its foot and a permanent queue outside it until late afternoon. Noordermarkt holds a market on Saturday morning that is worth setting an alarm for, the Lindengracht has another. Where the hotels are
There are few large hotels in the Jordaan and that is the point of staying here. A second cluster sits near the Haarlemmerdijk and the Westerpark edge, slightly newer, slightly more room to move.
