The district in plain terms
Start at the Plantage, the wide green quarter east of the Nieuwmarkt, with the zoo along the Plantage Kerklaan, the botanical garden by the canal, and the bridges over to the Weesperzijde. Underneath the Wibautstraat, metro lines 51, 53 and 54 serve the middle of the district.
