Couples, a companion who is a guest of you both

A couples booking is a companion who joins the two of you. Dinner for three, a concert, a bar with a band, a long walk along the canals with a third voice in the conversation. It is a companionship format for two people rather than one, and the difference shows in how the desk arranges it: she is chosen to suit you both, briefed by both of you, and the evening is built so that neither of you is the spare.

A couples evening is quoted as one figure, written into the chat before she leaves. A short booking opens at €180 for its first hour, as the rates page shows; an evening for three is usually longer and is priced as one whole, and the desk answers within minutes.

02 / Detail

What a couples booking is

Company, for two. A companion who is warm with both of you, attentive to the balance of a table of three, and easy enough that a first meeting relaxes within minutes rather than staying formal. It is arranged and conducted as elegant companionship, within the same respectful terms as every other booking on this site, and every companion on this page has said she enjoys the format rather than merely accepting it. That distinction matters more here than anywhere.

03 / Signage

Both of you, not one of you

The first message should come from both of you, or at least reflect both. What each of you enjoys, what kind of evening you have in mind, whether you want lively or quiet, out or in. The desk uses that to suggest a companion whose interests overlap with both of yours, since an evening where she and one of you talk photography while the other reads the wine list is not the point. Tell us honestly and the match is better.

  • What the two of you enjoy, separately and together
  • The kind of evening: dinner, a show, a walk, a hotel bar
  • Anything that would make either of you more comfortable
04 / Schedule

How the evening tends to run

Slowly, and mostly out. A meeting in the hotel lobby or at a cafe so that the first ten minutes are easy, dinner somewhere with a round table or a corner, then whatever the city offers that night: a concert in Oud-Zuid, a jazz room in the centre, the terraces of De Pijp in summer. Couples visiting the city tend to be here for a few days, and a companion who knows it will improve the itinerary as well as the evening.

A first booking is often a dinner. If it goes well, the second is longer.

05 / Concourse

Discretion for two

A companion joining a couple is introduced as a friend, if anyone asks, and nobody asks. Hotels see two guests and a visitor, restaurants see a table of three, and neither has any reason to think further about it. She arrives at the agreed minute, dressed for wherever the evening starts, and leaves at the agreed hour without a scene in the lobby. If either of you would rather she met you somewhere other than the hotel, a cafe or the restaurant itself, say so in the message and the window is built to that address instead.

06 / Transfer

Arranging it, and what to say

Send the desk the hotel, the evening and the length you have in mind, and either a name from the board or a description. The desk replies with availability, an arrival window and a figure for the whole evening. Confirm with one word and she arrives at the agreed minute, dressed for wherever the evening starts. Changes on the night are handled by message, as with any booking, and the booking page sets out the sequence in full.

07 / Notes

Who suits a table of three

Bianka is warm, attentive and listens properly to two people at once. Patricia is gentle and romantic in the old sense, with painting, film noir and bookshops as subjects that carry a table. Thea is cheerful, down to earth and impossible to feel awkward around. Luna is bold, independent and good company for a couple who want an evening with some edge to it. Michelle is chatty, nurturing and easy on a boat or at a bar. The brunette list holds several of these names.

Questions about couples

Is a couples booking suitable for a first time?

Yes, and a dinner is the usual first evening. Meet in the lobby, eat somewhere with a round table, and let the conversation do the work. Longer evenings come later.

Who chooses the companion?

You both do. Send the desk what each of you enjoys and the desk suggests names, or pick one from the board and the desk confirms that she enjoys the format.

How is it priced?

As one figure for the evening, quoted when you name the length and fixed in the chat before she leaves.

What if one of us is nervous?

Say so. The desk will suggest a companion whose warmth is her defining quality and an evening that starts in public, over a drink, so that nobody has to be brave.
